Alsa Automotive

One of our most important conditions when you commission us to restore or repair your pride and joy is that you are happy leaving it with us.  That you trust us.  The following terms and conditions will help you get a clear picture of what you can expect from us, and what we would like from you.

When considering using us, please have the following information: has it been worked on before, are there any faults that would affect the price we have quoted or the fixed price quoted on the website.  This will allow us to give you an accurate quote for the work needed, and give you an accurate picture of what you will be paying for.  If you are unsure, then please send pictures or visit us by appointment.

Once your car has been booked in, a contact number must be given. Exactly one month before the booked in date, we will contact you to confirm the exact day you will be leaving the car with us.  However if you have to cancel less than a month before then a re-booking fee of £100 must be paid on receipt of a new booking in date.

When the car is left with us, a 30% deposit will be required.  We will transport you to any train/bus/airport station you need at no cost.

Once the car is being worked on you should receive progress pictures between 2-4 times per week.  If any queries or problems arise, we will address them immediately, by accompanying the photos with answers.  This stage is also an ideal opportunity for you to raise any issues troubling you.  We will source routine consumable parts throughout the job, however cosmetic or customised parts, panels etc will need to be sourced by the customer.  (we will help where we can. Out-sourced work such as upholstery restoration or chrome work is a common option that customers take when their car is with us for restoration. We can highly recommend a number of exceptional businesses that we can liaise with while your car is with us. We also have a policy that enables the customer to have a fully invoiced repair without involving us in any payment, thus giving the customer complete value for money.

The project end date will be evident from the progress photos, and we will give an estimated finish date to the nearest 3 weeks.  At this point, please arrange a date for collecting the car.  This date must be within 3 weeks of the finish date given.  If the car still hasn't been collected within one month of the final payment clearing, then our landlord will be happy to arrange a storage place in the unit adjacent to us.

**Payment must be made in full on either collection of the car, or in stages during the project, whichever you prefer.  Although we rarely break our promise of adhering to a fixed price, sometimes a project will highlight extra work only when the paint is removed.  When this happens, we will discuss the extra costs immediately, and come to a solution before any extra work is carried out.

*Please note, payment of deposit must be made  or we will be unable to accept the car into the workshop to begin work.

**Please also be aware that settlement of the final invoice must be made before the car can leave our premises.

We can accept no responsibility for loss or damage to items left within your car whilst it is with us, so please remove any valuables, stereo fronts etc.

Please note:

We have specific ways to pay for the following reasons:

We are a small family run company with Al Wilsher doing the majority of the work needed. He is in the rare minority of people who love the work they do, and the joy of seeing a car enthusiast ecstatic at the new of their car is something we strive for. The embarrassment of talking about funds and late payments is a subject we have had to endure for the past five years and would dearly like to avoid.

WAYS TO PAY

Please also be aware that settlement of the final invoice must be made before the car can leave our premises.

All payments must either be in cash or bank transfer.  We are unable to accept cheques.
